For a good cause

The Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) are hosting a craft show to raise money for the veterans of this country.  Connie Simmers, a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, has spent many hours running the VFW craft shows and flea markets.

“ Our motto is to honor the dead by helping the living.” -Connie Simmers

At the craft show

The Ladies Auxiliary has rented 39 tables to different craft enthusiasts.  Connie Simmers says the event will be a craft show and flea market combined.

“ You’ll find a little bit of everything.” -Connie Simmers

The Boys Pre-Show

Southern Fyed Begginings

Russ Brown, frontman for the band Southern Fryed, along with his Bassist – Andy Woods, Lead Guitarist – Jack Porter, and Drummer – Jeff “Jefé” Gapter, started their band back in 2008.  Deeply rooted in Southern Rock, the boys have performed many covers all around Cheyenne.  They have also performed at The Famous Comadore Bar in Wheatland, WY, Scully Scooters in North Platte,NE, Gambler in Greely, CO, and Bucket Harley’s in Denver, CO.

Southern Fryed Corn Huskers

Friday Sept. 27, 2013, I was given the amazing fortune of going with the boys  to Kimball Nebraska’s Farmers’ Days.  While there, the boys and I toured the featured events of Farmers’s Days, including spectating at Kimball High School’s rivalry football game, meandering around the Craft Fair, and ended with tearing up the stage along side Stahla/Ford Band.

What is Gettin’ Southern Fryed Next?

Southern Fryed is currently working on their debute album Blue Collar Town.  Around November, the band also plans to start their Get Fryed Tour.
