Military Support

This week the Cheyenne Stampede honored many service men and women with Military appreciation weekend. They wanted to show their thanks to all service men, women servicing our country. They also wanted to say thank you to all Veterans for their service.

What better way to show support than to have Military honor guard, sing the national anthem. Chief master Sargent Deputy Commander Mexi Brown of the 90th Missile Support Group of the 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren Air Force base.  Following the national anthem was the honary puck drop by Lieutenant colonel Matthew Boshert. The Saturday night game was played in memory of Wild Bill Lindsey. He enlisted in the US Air Force April 1st 1975. He was recognized for his commitment of 24 years of service. He passed away 3 months ago from cancer. The Stampede players wore honory stickers on their helmets.

Raising awareness and funds

The Stamped wore Authentic Military Appreciation Jerseys. These were auctioned off with a silent auction during the weekend games. The funds are to support many Stampede Charities! The Profits will go to the  “Wounded Warrior” Project and/or the  “Purple Heart” Assoc. Mark the GM of the stampede asked season ticket holders to PLEASE Donate their season tickets to a Service Person!
