CLTP presents Christmas classic

Hot on the heels of the Cheyenne Little Theatre’s presentation of The Classic Radio Comedy Show, comes a Christmas experience you don’t want to miss. It’s hard to remember a Christmas season that hasn’t included watching the movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart. This season, Cheyenne residents have a chance to see the live version of the show, presented by a wonderful cast of local CLTP talent.

A story of selflessness, despair, heavenly intervention

The story of It’s A Wonderful Life is one of the more inspiring you will see this holiday season. George Bailey is a selfless man, constantly putting aside his own hopes and dreams for the sake of his family and the people of Bedford Falls. As owner of the Bailey Building and Loan, George falls into severe misfortune when a large amount of money is lost. This leads him to consider suicide, believing his substantial life insurance policy makes him worth more dead than alive. He utters a prayer to Heaven and his prayer is answered in the form of Clarence Odbody, Angel 2nd Class.

Clarence shows George what life would be like for the people of Bedford Falls if he had never been born. Realizing how much he means to the people around him, George is filled with hope for the future, and he returns home to an amazing outpouring of support from those he has helped throughout his lifetime.

Performance dates, times

Performance dates for It’s A Wonderful Life are December 6-8, 12-15, and 19-21. Thursday, Friday and Saturday show times are 7:30 pm. Sunday matinee times are 2:00 pm. Tickets are currently available for all dates on the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players ticketing website.
