Fun at Scaramie 2012

Spooktacular fun

It’s time once again for Scaramie, a fun and safe Halloween event promoted by the Laramie Main Street Alliance. Saturday, October 26th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. people of all ages will dress up in costumes and trick or treat around to businesses in the downtown historic district.   That’s not all, the Parks and Recreation will be hosting their annual trunk ‘r treat in the parking lot of the Recreation Center (map) from 4-5 p.m. and then you can go inside for the ever popular pumpkin dunkin’ in the aquatic pumpkin patch from 5-6:30 p.m.  All events are free with the exception of the pumpkin dunkin’ which is free for members and the cost of a day pass for all others.

Boootiful bonus

During Scaramie the Laramie fire department will have one of their fire trucks parked in front of the Main Street office at 207 Grand for tours and you can also stop by the Laramie Boomerang’s Haunted House at 320 E. Grand Avenue.

Beware; come early

Come early and get a good parking spot because these events are well attended.  The weather looks promising with a sunny forecast and a high of 51.  There are several new businesses downtown and many great places to eat… click here for a list of some of the new restaurants.
