Kids turn out in high numbers

There were several young actors and actresses running around the lobby of the Mary Godfrey Playhouse during the 2-day auditions on October 14 and 15. The turnout for the adults was not so good, as evidenced by the parts in the cast list that are still remaining to be filled. But it was great to see the enthusiasm of our local youth to get on stage with CLTP.

Kids in Lobby

Hopeful young actors and actresses, including Ava Sutton (green skirt),
mill about the lobby of the Mary Godfrey Playhouse waiting for their turn to audition.
Sutton would eventually be cast in the coveted part of ZuZu Bailey.

Mark your calendars

Now that the play has officially been cast, the volunteer actors and crew members have about 6 weeks to learn their blocking and their lines, and to get this show performance ready.

It’s A Wonderful Life is a Christmas play that will run on the weekends from December 6 through December 21 at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse. Make sure it’s on your list of things to do with the family this holiday season.
