America's Music

An Event for Music Lovers

The Laramie County Library currently hosting the “America’s Music: Handcrafted Instruments and Vintage Record Album Covers Exhibition”. This exhibit will be available for public viewing every day from now until Friday, November 8th, at the main branch on Pioneer Avenue in Cheyenne. It will feature several different handmade instruments and various on-loan vintage records. The library’s hours are:

  • 10 am – 9 pm Mondays thru Thursdays
  • 10 am – 6 pm Fridays and Saturdays
  • 1 pm – 5 pm Sundays

Reasons to Attend

In addition to the interesting historical values, I believe everyone can benefit from music appreciation. Music has been studied and shown to have the following benefits:

  • Pain management
  • Boosts immunity
  • Enhances memory
  • Improves coordination, and many more!

What You Might Enjoy

Seeing different hand-crafted instruments will be a fun activity for music lovers of all ages and tastes. Also, many of the younger generations will get to see and learn about “real” records — the vinyl albums of yesteryear. The cover art is cool and it will give you a glimpse of the styles and cultures from days gone by.
