Eat burgers. Not brains.

18 Sep

Or maybe tonight, it will be the other way around, as the undead will be descending on a local burger joint this evening for a fundraiser. Or, more appropriately, a corpse raiser.

Give like your life depended on it.

The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players-sponsored ZombieFest is back! The main event will be held on Saturday, but the fun starts tonight. Bring your boys and ghouls to Culver’s on Dell Range this evening to help raise funds for Zombie Fest. A portion of each sale will be donated to CLTP to support future years’ events, and zombie servers will be on hand to deliver your food.

Other pre-Zombie Fest events include the Gore Makeup Workshop at the Atlas Theatre on Thursday night, and Dinner and a Movie with Special Guest Ken Foree on Friday night.

Dead men walking. And dancing.

On Saturday the main event kicks off with registration at 8:00 am. There are plenty of events to keep adults and kids busy throughout the day and it all concludes with the Zombie Prom and Cadaver Cotillion (for the 21+ crowd), both starting at 9:00 pm Saturday at different locations.

The Zombie Fest provides a great venue for getting into the holiday spirit. Says ZombieFest Facebook page manager, Ashley White, “The best part is that you don’t even have to like zombies to be part of this event. It’s a great way to get into the Halloween spirit early, do some epic people-watching, listen to some live music on the plaza in gorgeous weather, and support a local organization.”

So bring the family to downtown Cheyenne this weekend and party like you just crawled back out of the grave!
