Please don’t pee your pants…

12 Oct

Beware! The time has come for a season of shreaks, chills and constantly looking behind your back.

We’re in the business of scream collection

This year the 17th Street Haunted House is back and better than ever!

The Haunted House began last weekend on our special preview zombie opening night October 6th and will continue every weekend until Wednesday October 31st. (Halloween is on a Wednesday? I know. Dumb)

This weekend will be our first full weekend the Haunted House is running. Doors open at 7pm on Friday and close at 11pm but open again Saturday at 7pm and close at the same time, 11pm. For those of you who are already scared out of your minds, the Haunted House is open this Friday and Saturday, October 12th and 13th from 7 – 11 p.m.

This is not your average haunted house

Most haunted houses are in, well you know, a house. However, this house of horrors is in and around a flea market as well as the organization meeting space for Knights of Pythias. Yep! You read right! This haunted house is home to a secret fraternity and a beautiful place full of treasures!

This haunted house has been at this location for over 24 years! The owners of the flea market “Heavens Treasures” Michael and Marianne Mansfield currently run the haunted house.

Besides having a kick butt haunted house in the building, the organization Knights of Pythias also calls this building home. Knights of Pythias is a fraternal organization and secret society founded in Washington, DC on Feburary 19th 1864 and has now made its way to Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The Knights of Pythias started this haunted house 24 years ago and the organization and house of horrors are still going strong!

Keep on screamin’

The haunted house is open until the end of October. Seriously, the very end.

For more information and updates please visit the house’s Facebook.

Below is a slideshow of last years haunted house events. They feature yours truly, Travis Jeffries, and Jen.

The audio playing automatically was a little unnerving.
