Admission is $5.

From singing and dancing to poetry and burlesque, Beast Women performances will take a variety of forms.

“This show is an invigorating and stimulating experience that operates on a concept of revolving individual performances,”
said Jill Erickson, co-creator, co-director and performer of Beast Women. “We hope to offer a new and personal experience to all in our audience.”

Local performer joins production

Christi Mitchell, a literature instructor at LCCC, will be performing in Beast Women as the local performer selected by Beast Women Porductions Inc. Mitchell has a Master of fine Arts from Wayne State University, and has performed in many plays and film projects. Mitchell is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Production’s ties to LCCC instructor

“We are very fortunate to be given this opportunity by LCCC and in particular Dave Gaer and Lisa Trimble,” Erickson said.

LCCC theater and communications instructor Dave Gaer was Erickson’s speech and acting coach at Hastings College in Hastings,
Neb. Lisa Trimble is the LCCC cultural series event coordinator.

“I can honestly tell you the influence that he has made on me personally and as a performer is very substantial,” Erickson said.
“He opened my eyes to different horizons, pushed and inspired me when I was trying to find my way as a solo performer.”

According to Erickson, Gaer was a driving force for Beast Women to come to LCCC.

“He was the one who brought the idea that we should come and perform in Wyoming after coming to see us in Chicago, and here
we are,” Erickson said.
