Get Ready to Fly down Slopes

24 Nov

This weekend marks the official opening to the 2010-2011 winter ski season, so get your skis, board, poles, and shoes and get going to the nearest or dearest slope of your choice.

Resorts, resorts everywhere

My personal favorite, Copper Mountain, CO (http://www.coppercolorado.com/winter/index.html) which is about 3 hours from Cheyenne, WY has a lot going on this weekend. They will be opening there new run called 22’ Superpipe. This run was made for the 2011 Grand Prix and USASA Nationals. Also enjoy a ski slope challenge on this run the day after Thanksgiving and compete for prices and certificates. Get more information and register here http://www.coppercolorado.com/winter/events

Perfect weekend to get away

It’s Thanksgiving break so what better time to take the next few days and get away for the holiday. Take the family and take a road trip to any of the resorts listed above or a resort of your choosing. There are always many things to do then just the resort events planned for the weekend. Go snowmobiling, take a tour of the mountain, go snow shoeing or hike around the base. There are spas and restaurants, even go shopping. Visiting the slopes is always family fun and there is enough for everyone to do, so make it easy and get tickets and lodging before you leave and the fun will start the second you get there.
