Calling all shutterbugs!

12 Nov

As you like it

With the arrival of Fall, followed a few hours later by Winter this week, I am definitely getting the photography bug. Today, the sky was amazingly clear and blue, and the Colorado Rockies stood in crystal clear relief in the background.  Lucky we are to have the photo opportunities we have in the Cheyenne area!

Here a leaf, there a leaf

The Wyoming Hereford Ranch is a historic location just outside of Cheyenne.  Although it’s a privately

owned property, photographers are encouraged to wander the property.  There are hundreds of trees, and historic buildings that make interesting subject matter, whether for portrait photography or still photography, it’s definitely a beautiful setting.

Dress for success

Being an outdoor setting, be sure to wear long pants and heavy shoes, because the best shots usually require a little work. Crow Creek, running through the ranch also offers some great visual imagery.  The ranch also offers a rich history, as well as beauty.  Click here for a brief background information on the ranch:  http://www.wylr.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=176&Itemid=14
