Bringing awareness to the damages of homophobic bullying

20 Oct

The Event

People around the world have decided that October 20th is the day to support the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning) population by wearing purple to draw awareness to the damages of homophobic bullying. In recent months, many LGBT youth have committed suicide due to homophobic bullying. The event has gained popularity largely through Facebook.
