LCCC women’s volleyball team had Tatyana Lukyanenko earn all-region and freshman of the year. Outside hitter Breecia Mangum, who was injured mid-way through the year, was named to the all-region team. First Team


LCCC soccer team runs away with awards

The Laramie County Community College women’s soccer team won numerous awards in Region IX. Seven players were named first team all-region, five earning all-region honors and one named second team all-region. Michaela Boyd was named sophomore of the year, and Amanda Halter was Region IX freshman of the year. Head Coach Jim Gardner was the league’s coach of the year.

LCCC men’s soccer team had sophomores Chris Kistenoglu and Stephen Pyer and freshmen Guilherme Andrade, Jeff Hampton, Jed DeLeeuw and Brandon Carrick earn first-team All-Region IX honors. Five players were named to the league’s second team. LCCC men’s coach Vince Gibson in his second year was honored as the league’s coach of the year.


Fall sports overview for the season

LCCC sports had lots of bright spots throughout the year. The volleyball team was nationally ranked for the first time in school history and finsihed with their best season ever at 31-8.

The men’s soccer team ended the season with a record of 12-8. The team had mostly freshmen  had 10 shutouts in the season, which tied the LCCC all-time record. Undefeted at home and Region IX play.  The team’s won its fifth-straight Region IX title, and the Golden Eagles only allowed 20 goals all season – another LCCC record.

The Lady Eagles soccer team finished with 13-3-2 record. Won the Region IX title and was ranked nationally for most of the year.
