“First-Ever major film release decided by you!” -Paranormal Activity/Paramount Pictures

Paranormal activity brings a new idea to mainstream media; movie releases that are controlled by the viewers. Originally the movie was to be released in only 13 locations. The official website and movie trailers urge the viewers to demand the release of Paranormal Activity in more locations. If the amount of demands ever reach one million, which occurred on Oct. 16, the movie would be released nationwide.

To quote Rob Moore, the Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures, “From the very beginning, we put this film in the hands of the fans and we trusted them to tell us where and when it should be seen. We couldn’t be more thrilled by their overwhelming support and we are happy to release the film in every town – big and small.”

Synopsis:

A middle aged couple move into a new suburban home. Soon there once thought to be a good “starter” home is racked with late night presence that may or may not be demonic.

Unfortunately, the movie is not yet playing in any Cheyenne theaters, but hopefully will be release locally soon. Paranormal Activity is currently playing in Denver.

The original version was released in 2007, so that’s out. I thought the 2009 version was better because of the better special effects and such. Good movie.
