Game tonight, then next 12 on the road

23 Sep

After beating two tough teams at home over the weekend the Lady Eagles are trying to make it three tonight when they play at 7 against Dawson College. They will be without one of there best players and hitter in Breecia Mangum, she was injured in the second set on the game Saturday. Depending on the result from her MRI she might be out for the season. Talking to coach Travis Ward on Friday he gave credit to Breccia for the win and effort. She had a hitting percentage of .455 with 22 kills and 15 digs. Before getting injured on the game Saturday Breecia started off will 9 kills, 0 errors and 10 swings, that’s a .900 hitting percentage.
They will miss her contribution to the team, and leadership she brings. Coach said “his team is just living the dream with 15 freshman, hoping there momentum keeps going”. He is also excited to go on the long road stand, saying “It will be a great learning experience for them to get ready for the conference tournament in Riverton”, November 4-7.
